Does that business traveller before you have a big secret?
It’s all work and no play… At least that’s what today’s business travellers would like to make us believe!
Yes, the ‘bleisure’ market—clients who add a leisure portion of travel to their business trips—can be a lucrative one, with some 80 percent taking time out for fun while on a business trip, according to National Care Rental.
But shhh! Don’t tell anyone.
Because the latest research shows that 38 percent of them don’t tell their boss and 40 percent keep tight lipped about it around their co-workers.
They even don’t tell their loved ones. Yes, that’s right: 31 percent of them avoid telling their spouse or significant others about the fun times they have when travelling for business.
So next time you hear a businessman in the lobby arranging drinks on his cell phone, or a businesswoman at reception booking a day excursion to the waterpark, look away my friend. They’re not having any fun. No, no: there’s no fun to be had.
It’s all work and no play. Honestly.
(Wink wink).
