Wait. Did I Just See a Pig Fly Past the Window?

…No, No. It’s Just that I’m Reading the International Air Transport Association’s 2018 Global Passenger Survey

Well, you could blow me over with a feather.

It seem that what air passengers want—what they really, really want—are wait times of less than 10 minutes at security and immigration, according to the IATA’s 2018 Global Passenger Survey.

They also want their bags tracked throughout their journey, biometric identification processes, airport automation and—wait for it—“a human touch when things go wrong”.

Ha! What on earth are these people thinking? I want a pet unicorn and ballgown made of fairy dust, but I’m not going to get it.

Let’s hope the airlines and airports are listening. After all, isn’t the customer always right? In the meantime though, please excuse me. I’m off to see what’s that pig’s offering on its inflight menu…
